 Snapdragon processors are designed to make mobile devices more powerful and efficient. They use a system called " heterogeneous multi-processing " for their CPUs, which means they have both ARM and x86 cores on the same chip. The Snapdragon 835 is the most advanced device of its kind, with 64 GPU cores that can run at up to 1.8 GHz, 7x Kryo 385 CPU cores that reach speeds up to 2.45 GHz, and an Adreno 540 GPU that can also reach 2.5 GHz.

The Snapdragon 835 is manufactured on the Kryo architecture, which first appeared with the Snapdragon 820 processor in 2016 and then the Snapdragon 821 processor in 2017. The Kryo 385 core of the Snapdragon 835 is a Cortex-A75 part, while the cluster of multiple cores (four cores in total) are all Kryo 385 parts. The Adreno 540 GPU is a custom GPU designed by Qualcomm called "Adreno 530. This new GPU is built on the same architecture as the Adreno 530, but it does have a larger number of transistors. The Snapdragon 835 processor has all four cores enabled and runs at up to 2.45 GHz.
