Earth shaken in America: 8.2 magnitude earthquake in Alaska

A tsunami warning has been issued for southern Alaska, the Peninsula of Alaska and the Aleutian Islands after the quake. According to local media reports, the damage to the country's west coast is being assessed.



Tremors were felt in the Alaska Peninsula of America on Wednesday night. The magnitude of this earthquake was given as 8.2 on the Richter scale. These tremors were so strong that a tsunami warning has been issued after them. Terrible destruction has been feared due to the aftershocks. As of now, there is no news of loss of life or property. A tsunami warning has been issued in the coastal areas after the earthquake.



The US Geological Survey said it was 35 km below the surface at 11:15 pm. Its effect is far from the center. According to the USGS, there were at least two more aftershocks, with magnitudes 6.2 and 5.6. In the last seven days, no earthquake of more than a magnitude of 3 has occurred within 100 miles of this area.
